An enormous amount of progress has been made in the Gulf Coast regions  but there is still so much work to be done to restore the area to a close resemblance to pre-hurricane conditions. They desperately need our help to bring it back to the beauty it once was and to save this historically and environmentally rich area.  Please click on a link below to donate your money, time, or materials. Don't let the people and the lives in this region be forgotten!

We at A & B are animal lovers and support our local humane shelter. We ask you to support the humane shelter also as there are so many animals waiting for a good home.  Please give your time, money or donate pet food, kitty litter, pet carriers, or old newspapers to the humane shelter at
Autauga Co. Humane Shelter
1009 Reuben Rd. (off Co. Rd. 4)in Prattville or email for info.

Spaying or neutering your pet is highly recommended.  This by no means lowers the value of any animal and is much healthier for them.  There are too many homeless dogs and cats in Alabama and we need to act immediately.  Please have your dog or cat spayed or neutered.

To our fellow humans around the world who live in the midst of terrorism, we send our moral support and prayers for your safety. We must stand together against the cowards that feed on the weaker and more trusting people of this world. Together we can defeat them and stamp out the hatred and fear the extremists consider a normal Muslim life. Christians and true Muslims alike need to work together to make this happen.
To our troops overseas, we can't express our mountains of gratitude for defending our freedoms and the sacrifices you and your families have made for us.
To the heroic patriots of Flight 93. We will not forget the sacrifices you all made for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and God be with you and your families.

We are located in the beautiful historical downtown area of Prattville (Please see map at right) just one block south of the Autauga County courthouse.  Along with service calls, we offer our customers something a little different. If possible, you can bring in your dryer, washer, dishwasher or stove for in-shop repairs, saving you money.
Small appliance repair is another service we offer. You can bring in your lamp or vacuum cleaner or whatever you have that is not working and we usually get it back to you within 2 days.  Please keep in mind that some of the brand-name small appliances no longer sell parts to unauthorized service centers.
If you would like to email us for more information use this link or the one at the bottom of the page.
A & B Appliance & Lock, Inc., family owned and operated, has been providing the residents of central Alabama with their appliance needs for more than 25 years.
With the new government-imposed regulations and extra fees in the locksmith industry and all the disruption in the locksmith associations, we have been forced to make a difficult decision. At the end of 2008 we will no longer be in the locksmith profession. However, our appliance business will be going on as usual in our present location. We have so appreciated your loyalty and please don't feel like we are leaving you high and dry!  We are in the process of selling to a local couple and we will keep you updated to the progress. Rest assured that we will do all we can to make the transition as painless as possible and will be here to answer any and all questions. We thank you for your faithful patronage and look forward to serving your appliance repair needs.

Over the last several years I have implemented ways to save our company money by cutting costs, payroll, changing vendors, etc.  Most of the ideas worked and we saw a difference in our bottom line.  With the economy in such turmoil we are all in the proverbial boat up the creek and we need to take a stand and fight this beast.  I'm putting my foot down, right on the natural gas company! I have used no gas over the last several months and am still being charged a fee. After inquiring I discover they have a minimum fee for service!  I have since had the gas disconnected. The economic situation the country is presently in is the direct result of this kind of corporate greed. I'm not taking it anymore!!!  I encourage everyone who calls themselves an American to take a stand with me against the kind of greed that is sucking the life out of our economy.  Do what you can in your life to take your money back from big corporations and let them know we are not playing the game any longer.
We will be closed Wed. afternoon and Thursday Nov. 26 and 27
